Emergency Management



 Mission
The primary mission of Branch County Office of Emergency Management is to save lives and protect property in the event of a man-made or natural disaster. The secondary mission of Branch County Office of Emergency Management  is to restore public services and to expedite the recovery and rehabilitation of individuals in the event of large-scale disasters. These objectives are met by conducting coordinated operations throughout the four phases of Emergency Management: mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.

    

    Operational Objectives

  • Maintain the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for Branch County

  • Provide 24-hour on-scene emergency response to emergencies and disasters

  • Provide 24-hour emergency notification to multiple response agencies 

  • Provide liaison with local, state and federal authorities during major emergencies and disasters

  • Develop, coordinate and conduct emergency management training/exercise programs
     
  • Revise, review and develop Branch County Emergency    Operations Plans using an all-hazards approach
       
  • Maintain Local Emergency Planning Committe
