Central Dispatch Information

The Branch County Board of Commissioners recognized the need for a 911 emergency number to be utilized in Branch County for the safety of its citizens. In 1990 the Board of Commissioners established a 911 Planning Board to establish the best means for utilization of this emergency number.

After many meetings and discussions it was finally decided to establish Branch County 911 / Central Dispatch. This concept allowed for a central answering point for all emergency and non-emergency calls for service for Law Enforcement, Fire and Emergency Medical Services.

Branch County 911 / Central Dispatch became the main dispatch service for Branch County on April 1, 1992. Branch County 911 / Central Dispatch services the citizens of Branch County including the City of Coldwater, The City of Bronson, The Village of Quincy, the Village of Union City and the Village of Sherwood.

Currently a dedicated and highly trained staff of 15 employees provides services to the citizens of Branch County 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
